Pumpkin Carving

Last night we decided to carve our pumpkin. With a busy week ahead of us we determined last night was the only night we had this week to sit down and do it. I am kinda of proud of us because last year we waited right up until the very last moment and we didn't get to enjoy it that much, and the year before that, I hate to say but we failed to even buy a pumpkin. So go Brown family for buying a pumpkin and having it carved before Halloween! I will say though our timing was bad. We carved it kinda late at night. We had no light on the back porch after about 15 minutes and it was dang cold outside! Besides the lack of light we all had fun. Charlie took a nice bite right out of the piece of the pumpkin. He held it in his mouth for like 3 seconds then looked at us and spit it out. I imagine he was wondering why we let him eat something so disgusting. Oh the joys of having a boy who's not afraid of anything!

Halloween Next Week?

Halloween is next week. Holy cow the year is almost over! We have been busy as you can tell from the lack of posts. Here's what we have been up to.

Growing Jalapenos
(and trying to grow grass)
Charlie has been a chubby
little destruction seeker.
The park has become a regular.

Mud is now Charlies favorite
food group.
Oh and pumpkins!
Charlie Brown picking out his
great pumpkin!
Plastic Bins have become
cooler than toys.

Now that you can all see that we have been very busy, hopefully I won't drop the ball this holiday season. We have parties, good food, anniversaries and birthdays coming up. I guess things never really slow down.

Grandpa's Birthday Bash

Yesterday to celebrate Grandpa's birthday my family went bowling and then came back to our house for some pizza and cake. We had a blast! I can't remember the last time I went bowling. I did not do so hot but I had fun. My only strike was from Charlie. I thought I would let him roll the ball down the lane to catch a cute picture of him bowling. Along with a cute picture and video I also got a strike. Thanks little guy! I guess he's my good luck charm! CJ won of course, kicking everyone's butt! He's is own good luck charm, but if you ask him he would just say he has raw talent. Thanks everyone for such a fun night! And thank you dad for having a birthday and being such a cool grandpa!
